Strong weekend extends Bandits win streak to three
The Bandits made their intentions for a title known over the weekend with two formidable performances against Embro and Woolwich.

Friday's 8-0 win over the Edge was one that the Bandits dominated at both ends of the ice.  Luca Filice picked up his first career shutout, aided by an unbelievable defensive performance from Jack F-McP, Adam Burnett, Noah Main and Colin Racz; who only allowed an amazing four shots on net over 35 minutes!  Though Luca was not tested often, the Ice Man made a couple of sprawling saves to keep the clean sheet.

Many offensive players had breakout games, including Logan Galer who more than doubled his point total from the first four games by putting up a 3 goal and 2 assist stat line.  Ryan Hood played his first game of Centre for the season, and was a catalyst for the team with his hustle.

The Bandits followed up that fantastic effort with an even stronger one on Sunday, beating a very good Woolwich team 8-1.

Ice Man almost made it back to back shutouts, beaten only by a shot that most NHL'ers would not have gotten to.  Stephanie Laidlaw joined the defense corps for the game, and "the big fundamental" proved to be as adept on the defensive end as she is in the offensive zone.

Noah Main earned the nickname "the Hammer" with his first goal of the season, a bullet from the point that the Wildcat goalie had no chance to stop. The newly formed line of Jex Tew, Ryan Hood and Logan Galer gave the team two dominant lines, and shared the balance of the scoring duties with the Josh MacDonald, Sebastien Haazar and Karson Sherwood line.  Josh and Sebastien specifically continued their onslaught on the player statistics page, with both now averaging nearly three points a game.  Karson also added an assist, moving his consecutive game point streak to three.
