Bandits bring home bronze in Plattsville
The Bandits recovered from a slow start, winning their last two games to take the bronze medal at the Plattsville Pride tournament on December 5th.

After beating the Twin Centre the weekend before in league action, the Stars took a measure of revenge by pulling out an early morning 6-4 victory over the Bandits.  The usually high flying Beverly just didn't have their skating legs under them for the first two periods, but started to show signs of their usual selves in the third.

The Bandits carried that strong third period into their second round game, beating the host team 10-2.  The highlight of the game was Karson Sherwood's first career goal, which came on a tip in during the first period.  Not to be outdone by the potent offense, the defensive core of Jack MacPhee, Noah Main, Stephanie Laidlaw, Colin Racz and Adam Burnett only allowed five shots throughout the game.  While Luca Filice was not challenged often, the Ice Man came up with two big breakaway saves early which kept the team in for the first few minutes before the scoring barrage started.  Josh MacDonald, Logan Galer, Ryan Hood and Jex Tew all put up multi-point games, which along with Sebastien marked the first time that all six forwards had two or more points each in a game this season.

After an elongated break, the Bandits hit the ice for a Bronze medal showdown with the Noble Kings.  Beverly put this game on ice early, taking a 7-2 lead into the third period.  After some tense moments early in the last frame, which saw three quick goals from their opponents, the Bandits took back control and scored late to secure an 8-5 win and the Bronze medal.  Sebastien Haazer in particular was dominant in this game, picking up 6 points, which included both the game winning and last goals of the game.
