Beverly Midget # 1 team take Bronze in Arthur!!
The Beverly Bandits played very well in the Arthur tournament on January 10th taking 3rd place out of 8 teams and going 2 wins and a loss,outscoring the opposition 9 to 4 over the 3 games played.
In the first game Beverly played a stubborn Tavistock team,but ended up putting alot of pressure on them and beating them 5-1.the winner was scored by Callum Williams assisted by Bailey Davidson-Gouveia and Tyler Pratt.Matt Watson played a strong game in goal for the Bandits making some key saves.
The second game was a very rough ,but exciting game vs New Hamburg # 3 which we lost 2-1,but had many chances to win!!Curtis Abernethy played very well in goal.
The Bandits played host Arthur in the 3rd place game and dominated winning 3-1 over a very good Arthur team with Derick Bezemer potting the winner from Callum Williams.Curtis Abernethy was stingy in goal!!
This was a very good tournament with alot of excellent teams so a 3rd place finish was a very good result in this tough tournament!!
