More info from the City
We have just attended an online meeting with the City of Hamilton, please see important points below.
-To enter the arena starting September 22 anyone 12+ years that is a parent, sibling, spectator, Coach, Bench Staff and Volunteer must show City Staff 1 piece of ID (Health Card/Drivers License, does not need to be photo ID but name and birthdate must match that on the vaccination receipt) and their proof of second vaccination that was done at least 14 days prior to you entering the arena.

-To reiterate you must have had your second dose of vaccine, waited 14 days before you are considered fully vaccinated and will be allowed in the Arena

-The City does not require players aged 12-18 to show their proof, the players now fall under the OMHA Policy which gives them a grace period until October 31 to show they are fully vaccinated (including the 14 day wait period)

-Similar to last year the City Staff will lock the doors once the group is inside the arena and not allow the next group in until 30 minutes before their ice time. Please do not arrive more than 30 minutes before your ice time. We are hoping our coaches can get the players out in 20 minutes after their skate is finished so things run smoothly.

-If you are a parent of a player who is on the U11 team or younger and are not yourself vaccinated so therefore cannot enter the arena but still want your child to play it is your responsibility to ask a responsible adult who is fully vaccinated to take your player into the arena, supervise them in the arena and then escort them back to you outside. You cannot send your young player in unattended for saftey reasons. Players in U13 and above can enter the arena on their own without parent supervision.

Thank-you for your understanding in these ever changing and challenging times!
