A little about us.... (Beverly Minor Hockey)

PrintA little about us....
We are an OMHA Center established in 1974.

Beverly Minor Hockey is a member of the Grand River Local League for our U7 to U18 divisions.

In our regular season we play approximately 16 games (8 home/8 away) In the Play-off round another 8 games are played (4 home/4 away) and then the top two teams in each division have a best of 3 series to determine the Champion.
Typically our season starts right after Thanksgiving and goes until mid January and then the play-offs start. Championship series are wrapped up by the end of March.
All of our practices and home games are at Beverly Community Center. We travel to the following centers for our away games;
Ayr, Embro, Hespeler, New Hamburg, Plattsville, St. George, Tavistock, Twin Center and Woolwich.
The advantages of playing in a Local League as opposed to a House League are that you do not have to play the same teams over and over again, it gives our players the taste of travel without the cost of AE or Select, our teams enter around 3 tournaments in the year and they get to play exciting competitive hockey.
Beverly Minor Hockey also has a U21 Rep team ages 18-20. This league is also under the OMHA  as the Beechey Juvenile League. They typically play regular season from mid October to Mid January 16-19 games (8/9 home and 8\9 away). After regular season is over they play in the play-off round that normally takes them to mid March.
All home games are Sundays and practices are Wednesdays held at Beverly Community Center. In the past we have traveled to the following centers for away games, Ayr, Belmont, Burford, Cayuga, Glanbrook, Hespeler, Ingersoll, Lincoln, New Hamburg, Port Dover, Plattsville, Tavistock, Thorold, Wainfleet, Woolwich.
The team normally enters 1-2 tournaments in the season.
