Bandit PeeWees leave it on the ice in St George!
What you saw of the Beverly Bandits PeeWees at the Earl Gaukel Memorial Tournament in St. George this weekend is just the tip of the iceberg!

Sure, at times they made the game of hockey look easy with their speed, instincts, and (Coach Max’s favourite ‘E’ word) EFFORT (!!)...but there’s a lot more that goes on behind the scenes of this team. There is an incredible bond amongst these 16 players, on and off the ice. Credit is due, in part, to the mentorship of their coaches!

These kids support each other in a variety of ways...

They celebrate each others accomplishments! HOORAY for Kylie, back on the ice following an injury and getting your first goal of the season!

Celebrating Kylie's goal!

They do what it takes to protect their goalie, even if it means spending time in the penalty box.
They trusted a favourite stick to a teammate when he proves just how powerful he is!
Snap Parzen went on to score 2 goals with teammate Owen's stick!

They come out and cheer on their team even if they can’t be on the ice!

Thanks for coming out, Darian!

A loss is a group effort, there is never any thought otherwise – nor should there be.  When a players is down, they feel it and they do something about it ...by getting out there and playing faster, stronger and maybe, giving a little nudge where it is deserved. We are very relieved that Bandit Dante is doing well after his big thump during the Championship game Sunday!

This connection was strongest in the game they HAD to win for the hometown boys, Flynn and Josh, against their rivals and tournament host, the St. George Generals. They didn’t just win this game...they shut them down!! Every Bandit went out with one goal in mind and brought back 6 goals against and a big ZERO for St. George. The result was exactly what Flynn and Josh were hoping for. Way to support your teammates!

A shutout for Flynn against the St. George Generals!

Four strong wins took the Beverly Bandits PeeWee team into a tough championship game Sunday afternoon against the Nepean Blades. Every single player should be proud of their effort, those that supported from the bench and those that stepped out onto the ice. Each played their part getting their team to the final game. Each played their part right up to the final seconds in that championship game. The score board doesn’t record effort and team spirit. Well played, Bandits!

A BIG BANDIT THANK YOU to...

• Coach Max and Princess Patty, for the power snacks between games Friday!

• Amy and Nicole, who picked up healthy food to nourish the players between games on Sunday!

• Juanita, for organizing the team dinner at Wacky Wings after the championship game.
We think the kids work hard for the games but it’s really for the fun with their friends in between and after!

• All the families who came out to cheer their Bandits on and to watch some great games!
