Bandits winning streak at five after weekend sweep
The Bandits continued their push towards the A Division playoffs with back to back wins over the weekend.

The offense exploded in Woolwich on Saturday, tallying eight goals in an 8-3 win.  Ryan Hood had his best offensive performance, scoring two and picking up an assist.  Captain Sea Bass potted four goals and added an assist, pacing an attack that has found the back of the net very consistently all year.  Additional goals were added by Jack MacPhee and Josh MacDonald.

Sunday's game was a closer affair, but the result was the same as the Bandits beat Twin Centre 4-2 in Beverly.  The defense was fantastic, especially in the first two period, allowing a total of three shots on goalie Luca Filice.  Adam Burnett, Stephanie Laidlaw and Noah Main have all proven to be excellent technical defensemen, while Colin Racz and Jack MacPhee's speed allow them to be dual end threats.

Luca Filice was tested more in the third period, and though he did let in two goals, Ice Man pulled a couple of huge saves out in the middle of the period to ensure the victory.

The puck movement was markedly better against the Stars than had been over the past few games.  A particularly pretty passing play that saw all five of Stephanie Laidlaw, Jack MacPhee, Logan Galer and Ryan Hood touch the puck and move it in short order led to a goal for Jex Tew.  Karson Sherwood picked up another assist, and almost potted his first of the season on a hammer of a shot, one that almost knocked the Stars goalie over the goal line.
