Bandits finish strong in season's final weekend
The Bandits finished their season strong, winning a pair of games over the weekend to close the year at 13 and 3.

After a 5-3 win over Hespeler 1 in Beverly on Friday, the Bandits turned in their most impressive performance of the season in an 8-0 win in Ayr.

Luca Filice earned his second shutout of the season.  Though the Ice Man came up with a few big saves early, the defense played a big reason in the shutout.  Stephanie Laidlaw and Noah Main played great games defensively, both winning many one on one battles against the Flames forwards.  Jack Mac and Adam Burnett were not only strong in the defensive end, but contributed 3 goals and an assist between them.

The offense was paced by Jex Tew, who put in his strongest effort of the year, scoring a pair and assisting on two others.  Josh MacDonald scored two more to give himself 27 on the year.  Logan Galer cemented the assist title with two on Saturday, bringing his total to 23 in 15 games.  Ryan Hood added the other goal, his 7th of the campaign

Karson Sherwood picked up a pair of assists, finishing his rookie season with an impressive 11 points total.  Colin Racz, who recently moved to forward, put in an excellent game that saw him come within inches of popping a goal on numerous occasions.  With a few more games up front, Colin could prove to be a dangerous weapon.

Overall, the Bandits finish the season with 26 points, good for a 4th place tie along side New Hamburg #3.
