Beverly Midget # 1 win the tough Syl Apps Memorial tournament in Paris
The Beverly Bandits played 6 games vs some very good teams posting a mark of 5-1 on its way to the Championship.On Friday evening the Bandits defeated the Brock Wild 3-1.On Saturday the Bandits started slow and lost 3-2 to Midland before rebounding and beating New Hamburg # 2 2-1 with 2 goals in the 3rd period.On Sunday the Bandits defeated Midland in the Quarters 2-0,Dresden in the semis 3-1 and Thornton in the final 2-1 for the Championship win.
It was a super team effort with great goaltending ,steller defence and aggressive play-making in the opponents zone.This was a great way to finish off a great
season at Beverly.
The Bandits played 39 games this season and posted a fantastic record of 29-8-2 through regular season,play-offs,finals,and 3 tournaments in Aylmer,Arthur and Paris.
